Barbecued beef on buns
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- catsup - 1 c
- chopped onions
- Tabasco sauce - 1 item
- shortening or oil - 3 Tbsp
- cooked beef - 4 5
- beef broth or 1 beef bouillon cube in 1 c - 1 c
How to make barbecued beef on buns:
Cut cooked beef into small pieces and brown very lightly with the chopped onions in shortening or oil. Pour off drippings. Combine beef broth or bouillon with remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, stirring to blend and simmer 5 minutes. Add meat to onion mixture and simmer 30 minutes or longer. Makes 8 to 10 servings. Serve on warm buns.Recipe categories: Meat, Beef, Barbecue.
