Barbecue spareribs
Ingredients/Components
- paprika - 1 item
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- pinch of sugar - 1 item
- juice of 1 lemon
- white wine - 1/2 c
- barbecue sauce - 1 item
- salt and freshly ground pepper - 1 item
- pork spareribs - 5 lb
How to make barbecue spareribs:
Cut ribs into serving pieces and rub with salt, pepper and some paprika. Place in a bowl and add garlic, white wine, lemon juice and a little sugar. Toss well and marinate in the refrigerator several hours or overnight.Grill over a charcoal fire brushing with your favorite barbecue sauce every 10 minutes or so. (Optional: Add a tablespoon of chili powder or minced pickled jalapeno to barbecue sauce for hotness.) The ribs should be cooked 4 inches above the coals, and they will take 1 hour and 15 minutes to cook. Or they may be baked in a 350° oven for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 6.
