Barbecue spareribs



  • paprika - 1 item
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • pinch of sugar - 1 item
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • white wine - 1/2 c
  • barbecue sauce - 1 item
  • salt and freshly ground pepper - 1 item
  • pork spareribs - 5 lb

How to make barbecue spareribs:

Cut ribs into serving pieces and rub with salt, pepper and some paprika. Place in a bowl and add garlic, white wine, lemon juice and a little sugar. Toss well and marinate in the refrigerator several hours or overnight.

Grill over a charcoal fire brushing with your favorite barbecue sauce every 10 minutes or so. (Optional: Add a tablespoon of chili powder or minced pickled jalapeno to barbecue sauce for hotness.) The ribs should be cooked 4 inches above the coals, and they will take 1 hour and 15 minutes to cook. Or they may be baked in a 350° oven for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 6.
