  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1/3 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 1/4 c
  • honey - 1/4 c
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • paprika - 1 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • chili powder - 1/4 tsp
  • catsup - 1/4 c
  • tomato juice - 1 c
  • ribs - 1 item
  • Open Pit barbecue sauce - 1 item
  • bottle Open Pit - 1 item
  • Cover with foil

How to make barbecue ribs:

Layer ribs in pan. Cover with foil. Bake at 300° for 3 hours. Take out of oven and drain juice from pan. Use Open Pit barbecue sauce and add brown sugar. Pour over ribs. Cook 1 hour longer. Use by itself or add Texas Barbecue Sauce.Texas Barbecue Sauce:2 Tbsp. brown sugar1 Tbsp. paprika1 tsp. salt1 tsp. dry mustard1/4 tsp. chili powder1/8 tsp. pepper2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce1/4 c. vinegar1 c. tomato juice1/4 c. catsup1/2 c. water1 bottle Open Pit1/3 c. brown sugar1/4 c. honey Mix in saucepan the 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, paprika, salt, dry mustard, chili powder, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, tomato juice, catsup and water. Simmer until slightly thickened (about 15 minutes). Add bottle of Open Pit, 1/3 cup brown sugar and honey.
