Barbecue rib sauce
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- ketchup - 1 c
- prepared mustard - 1/3 c
- Worcestershire - 2 Tbsp
- clove minced garlic - 1 item
- orange or lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- orange or lemon zest - 1 tsp
- cayenne or 1 tsp - 1/8 tsp
How to make barbecue rib sauce:
Saute onion in oil, add everything else. Simmer for a while. Best made a day or so ahead of time. Brush on meat just before removing from charcoal, oven or microwave to avoid scorching. Makes about 2 cups. Adjust ingredients to taste.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Savory sauces.
