Barbecue chicken
Ingredients/Components
- frying chicken - 3 lb
- cans tomato paste
- water - 2 c
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- molasses - 1/3 c
- brown sugar, packed - 3 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 item
- dry mustard
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- liquid smoke optional - 1/8 tsp
How to make barbecue chicken:
Sauce:3 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste2 c. water1 small onion, chopped1/3 c. molasses3 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce vinegar1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard1/8 tsp. salt1/8 tsp. liquid smoke (optional) Clean chicken. In large saucepan, combine all ingredients, bringing to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes. When grill is ready, place on racks 6-inches from hot coals, turning and basting with sauce frequently. Let cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
