Barbecue beef
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- mustard - 1 Tbsp
- ketchup - 1 c
- horseradish - 1 Tbsp
- small diced onion - 1 item
How to make barbecue beef:
Mix all ingredients and pour over meat; marinate overnight.Spread 2 teaspoons salt over marinated meat and bake in covered pan at 350° for 4 hours or until tender. (I prefer to start meat at 350° for 30 minutes, then reduce to 275° for 4 hours.)
To prepare for serving, cool meat and scrape away and discard all fat. Tear meat into strings and chop to desired size. Skim fat off sauce and drippings in pan. (Easy to do, if cold.) Reheat meat in sauce when ready to serve.
