Banana split pie
Ingredients/Components
- box vanilla wafers, crushed - 1 oz
- melted butter - 3/4 c
- powdered sugar - 2 c
- butter or margarine, softened - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- bananas, sliced not too ripe - 5 item
- can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 oz
- carton whipped topping - 1 oz
- chopped nuts, toasted - 1 c
How to make banana split pie:
Combine crushed vanilla wafers with melted butter and mix well. Press onto sides and bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.Combine powdered sugar, softened butter and eggs. Beat on high speed of electric mixer for 15 minutes. Do not underbeat. Spread sugar mixture on top of crust and top with bananas, then cover with pineapple. Spread whipped topping over fruit and sprinkle with nuts. Chill thoroughly. Cut in squares to serve. Makes 20 to 24 servings.
