Ingredients/Components
- stick margarine, melted - 1 item
- nuts and cherries optional - 1 item
- banana cream cookies - 1 pkg
- square vanilla ice cream, softened - 1/2 gal
- jar strawberry topping - 1 oz
- jar pineapple topping - 1 oz
- large bowl chocolate Cool Whip - 1 item
How to make banana split ice cream cake:
In blender crumb cookies. Add margarine and put in 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Press flat. Put in freezer until chilled.Cut softened ice cream in half. Pour one of the toppings over crust. Lay ice cream side by side and smooth. Add other topping. Put in freezer about an hour. Cover with softened Cool Whip; garnish with nuts and cherries. Freeze. The toppings will not freeze solid.
