  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • evaporated milk
  • chocolate chips - 1 c
  • powdered sugar - 2 c
  • whipping cream - 1 pt
  • bananas - 4 item
  • Neapolitan ice cream - 1/2 gal
  • graham crackers - 1 item

How to make banana split dessert:

Cover 11 x 15-inch pan with crushed graham crackers. Keep 1 cup. Slice bananas and layer over crumbs. Slice ice cream in 1/2-inch slices and place over bananas. Sprinkle nuts on ice cream and freeze until firm.

Melt chips and butter; add powdered sugar and evaporated milk. Cook until thick and smooth, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and cool. Pour over ice cream. Freeze until firm.

Whip cream and spread over chocolate and top with graham cracker crumbs you kept. Keeps several weeks in freezer. Take out of freezer 10 minutes before serving.
