Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cream cheese - 1 pkg
- nuts, chopped - 1/2 c
- yellow cake mix - 1 item
- large container Cool Whip - 1 item
- small jar maraschino cherries - 1 item
- bananas - 2 item
- large can crushed pineapple - 1 item
- vanilla pudding not instant mix - 1 pkg
How to make banana split cake:
Bake cake as package directs. Cool. Poke holes all over cake. Cook pineapple and sugar to boil, then simmer 20 minutes. Pour over cake. Cool. Prepare pudding as package directs; add cream cheese and whip together until light. Spread over cake. Layer sliced bananas over cake, then spread Cool Whip. Sprinkle with nuts and dot with cherries.
