Banana pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour
- salt scant - 1/4 tsp
- sweet milk - 2 c
- box vanilla wafers - 1 item
- or 5 bananas - 4 item
- egg yolks save egg whites - 3 item
How to make banana pudding:
Beat the egg yolks and add 2 cups of milk. Add to the sugar and flour. Cook over medium/low heat and stir until as thick as desired, stirring constantly. Add vanilla. In a bowl, put a layer of vanilla wafers and layer of sliced bananas; pour cooled sauce over that. Repeat layers again; last layer should be wafers.Beat egg whites; add 1 tablespoon water and 1 tablespoon sugar to start with, then gradually add 4 more tablespoons sugar. Beat until peaks appear. Top the pudding. Brown in oven at 325° for 5 to 8 minutes or until brown.
