Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- milk - 2 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- bananas - 1 item
- vanilla wafers - 1 item
How to make banana pudding:
Combine flour, salt and 1/2 cup of sugar in top of double boiler; stir in milk. Cook over boiling water; stir constantly until thickened. Beat egg yolks; gradually stir in hot mixture. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Line bowl with wafers. Alternate layers of wafers, sliced bananas and custard.Topping: Beat 3 egg whites until stiff, gradually adding remaining sugar and beat until mixture forms peaks. Pile on top of pudding.
