Banana nut cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- mashed ripe bananas - 2 c
How to make banana nut cake:
Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs. Mix. Add bananas; mix until smooth. Add rest of dry ingredients, stirring until moist. Stir in pecans. Pour batter into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
