Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- boiling water - 1/4 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- nuts - 1 c
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- bananas - 2 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- bananas, mashed - 3 item
- Add buttermilk and bananas
- Or:2 egg whites
How to make banana nut cake:
Cream eggs, sugar and shortening. Add buttermilk and bananas. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt; add to egg mixture. Add nuts; beat well by hand.
