Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- mashed ripe bananas - 1 c
- liquid shortening - 1/3 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with bananas. Stir in nuts. Bake in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
