Banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- buttermilk - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- bananas - 3 item
- melted shortening - 1/4 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Stir together first 6 ingredients. Then mix together remaining ingredients. Add all at once to dry mixture, stirring only enough to moisten dry mixture. Turn into greased (bottom only) 9 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 2 3/4-inch loaf pan or two small loaf pans and spread batter evenly to corners. Bake at 350° for one hour.
