Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour - 3 c
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
- ripe bananas - 3 item
- chopped nut meats - 1 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream shortening and sugar well. Add beaten eggs; mix well. Put bananas through sieve. Add lemon juice, then add to creamed mixture. Sift remaining dry ingredients together; mix quickly with banana mixture. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased 9-inch loaf pan.
