Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour
- pecans - 1/2 c
- bananas - 2 item
How to make banana nut bread:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease and flour bottom of loaf pan. In large bowl, blend first four ingredients and beat 2 minutes. Add flour, soda, salt and baking powder and blend until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Stir in nuts.Pour into loaf pan and bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan.
