- all-purpose flour
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- sugar - 2/3 c
- shortening - 1/3 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- mashed ripe bananas - 1 c
- chopped nuts - 1/4 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Stir together flour, baking powder, soda and 3/4 teaspoon salt; set aside. In a mixer bowl, beat sugar and shortening with electric mixer until light, scraping sides of bowl often. Add eggs, one at a time, and the milk, beating until smooth after each addition. Fold in nuts. Put batter into a lightly greased 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350` for 60 to 65 minutes.
