Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- bananas - 2 item
- egg yolks, beaten - 2 item
- baked 9-inch pastry shell - 1 item
How to make banana cream pie:
Mix dry ingredients with a small amount of milk. Add remaining milk. Cook over boiling water, stirring until thick. Cover and cook for 15 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Add a small amount of hot mixture to egg yolks. Return to hot mixture and cook a few minutes longer. Add butter and vanilla; stir well. Slice bananas into pie shell. Pour filling over.
