  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • mashed bananas - 1 c
  • eggs, well beaten - 2 item
  • pecans, chopped - 1/3 c

How to make banana cake:

Cream sugar and shortening well. Add eggs, salt, vanilla and milk. Sift flour and soda together and blend into creamed mixture. Fold in bananas and nuts. Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
