  • shortening - 1 c
  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 4 c
  • sour milk - 8 Tbsp
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • mashed bananas - 2 c
  • Cream Cheese Icing:1 box powdered sugar
  • cream cheese - 3 oz
  • stick margarine - 1/2 item
  • milk - 1 item

How to make banana cake:

Cream Cheese Icing:1 box powdered sugar3 oz. cream cheese1/2 stick margarine milk Cream the shortening, sugar and eggs. Add bananas and flour, then vanilla. Fold in sour milk and soda. Pour into 4 cake pans and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Mix icing and spread between layers and over top of cake.
