  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 lg
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • sour cream - 1/3 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • soda - 3/4 tsp
  • baking powder - 3/4 tsp
  • chopped walnuts - 3/4 c
  • mashed bananas - 1 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • crisco oil - 1/2 c
  • crisco shortening - 1/2 c

How to make banana cake:

Frosting:2 Tbsp. flour1/2 c. milk1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. crisco shortening1/4 c. margarine1 tsp. vanilla Cream oil and sugar; add eggs and beat until very fluffy. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add to other ingredients alternately with mashed bananas, combined with sour cream and vanilla. Scrape sides of bowl frequently during mixing, when thoroughly blended, pour into a 13x9-inch greased pan. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.

Frosting: In sauce pan cook flour and milk on medium heat till thick, let cool.

In mixing bowl mix sugar, crisco and margarine beat real good so sugar is dissolved, then mix flour milk mixture and beat some more, add vanilla.
