Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 3/4 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- mashed bananas - 1 c
- sour milk - 1/2 c
How to make banana cake:
Cream the first 2 ingredients. Add eggs and bananas and beat thoroughly. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Put soda in sour milk. Alternate flour mixture and milk mixture, beating after each addition. Add vanilla. Put in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan and bake in 350° oven for 25 minutes or until a straw comes out clean from the center.
