Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 2/3 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder
- baking soda
- chopped walnuts - 2/3 c
- Crisco - 2/3 c
- mashed ripe bananas 3 medium
- Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping the bowl constantly
How to make banana cake:
Measure all ingredients into a large bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping the bowl constantly. Beat 3 minutes on high speed, scraping occasionally. Pour into greased and floured pans. Bake. Cool completely before filling with frosting. Frost with Sour Cream Filling.Sour Cream Filling:1/2 c. sugar2 Tbsp. flour2 eggs, beaten1/2 c. sour cream2 Tbsp. butter1/2 c. chopped nuts Mix sugar and flour; add eggs, cream and butter (add 1/2 teaspoon rum flavoring, if desired).
