Ingredients/Components
- stick butter - 1 item
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- bananas, mashed - 3 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 4 Tbsp
- sifted plain flour - 2 c
- pecans, chopped - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter, softened
- to 2 ripe bananas, mashed - 1 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 oz
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
How to make banana cake:
Icing:1 Tbsp. butter, softened1 to 2 ripe bananas, mashed1 (16 oz.) box powdered sugar1 c. pecans, chopped1 Tbsp. lemon juice Cake: Cream the butter, then blend in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add bananas. Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add alternately with flour. Add pecans and vanilla. Pour into two 9-inch or three 8-inch pans lined with waxed paper. Bake at 350° for 15 to 25 minutes.Icing: Blend butter and bananas in mixer. Add sugar and mix well. Add pecans and lemon juice. Ice cake.
