- eggs - 2 item
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- cup sugar - 1 item
- cup margarine - 1/2 item
- cup sour cream - 1/3 item
- cup chopped walnuts - 1 item
- cup mashed ripe bananas - 1 item
- 3/4 cups flour - 1 item
How to make banana bread:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Combine sour cream and baking soda in a small bowl; set aside. Using an electric mixer, cream margarine and sugar in a large bowl. Beat in eggs, bananas and sour cream mixture. Sift in flour, baking powder, and walnuts, combine well. Spoon mixture into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted into center of loaf comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Turn loaf out on to rack and cool completely.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
