- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- mashed bananas - 1 c
- butter room temperature - 1/2 c
- chopped walnuts or pecans - 1/2 c
How to make banana bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Sift dry ingredients; combine with the butter mixture. Blend well. Add bananas, sour cream and vanilla; stir well. Stir in the nuts; pour into a well buttered 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan or several smaller pans. Bake for 1 hour. Turn out onto a rack to cool.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
