Banana bread



Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- white sugar - 2 c
- shortening Crisco - 1 c
- ripe bananas, mashed 5 if real large - 6 item
- whole eggs, one at a time - 4 item
- rolled black walnuts or pecans - 1/4 c
How to make banana bread:
Cream shortening and sugar together until fluffy. Add bananas and eggs, one at a time. Mix well. Sift flour with salt and baking soda and add to banana mixture. Add nuts. Bake at 325° for an hour in a tube pan or two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans. Line bRecipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
