- honey
- unsalted butter, melted
- shelled walnuts - 2 lb
- filo - 2 lb
- drops of lemon juice - 1 item
- glasses sugar short, fat glass - 2 item
- 1/2 glasses water - 2 item
How to make baklava:
Syrup:1 lb. honey2 glasses sugar (short, fat glass)2 1/2 glasses water drops of lemon juice Put 20 layers of filo, brushing each one between with butter. Spread with part of the nuts, mixed with 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, then put 10 layers of filo. Add more nut mixture. Cover with 10 layers of filo, then more nut mixture. Cover with 10 layers of filo. Now more nut mixture. Cover with 20 layers of filo, again brushing each one with melted butter. Butter top sheet of filo. Cut into diamond shape. Pour rest of melted butter over all. Bake at 350° for about 1 hour.
