- sugar - 1 item
- cinnamon - 1 item
- melted butter - 1 c
- raisins - 1 item
- a few drops lemon juice - 1 item
- parts water - 2 item
- filo sheets strudel sheets - 1 pkg
- Filling: nuts
- Honey:1 part sugar
How to make baklava:
Filling: nuts raisins cinnamon sugar Honey:1 part sugar2 parts water a few drops lemon juice Preheat oven to 350°. Grease pan. Add filo sheets (3 to 5 at a time) and spoon butter in between. At half-way point of filo sheets, add filling; spoon filling and repeat addition of filo sheets as before. Cut to desired shape and spoon butter over top. Bake until golden pink.Prepare honey (one part sugar to 2 parts water and a few drops lemon juice). Boil for 10 minutes. Cool. When Baklava is done, add cooled honey to hot Baklava and allow to soak through cuts.
