Baked stuffed mushrooms
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 4 Tbsp
- garlic salt - 1/4 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- slices bread - 2 item
- olive oil - 1/4 c
- mushrooms medium to large caps - 12 item
How to make baked stuffed mushrooms:
Wash mushrooms; pat dry; remove stems. Set caps aside. Put oil, 1 slice bread (torn in pieces), garlic salt, oregano, basil and bay leaf together in blender or food processor. Chop into fine pieces. Tear remaining piece of bread and add with mushroom stems. Continue until entire mixture is in very fine pieces.Melt butter in skillet; add mushroom mixture and saute for 5 minutes. Stuff caps with sauteed mixture. Set caps into shallow pan that is well-greased or has thin layer of beef broth. Bake in oven preheated to 375° for 12 to 20 minutes.
