Baked spaghetti
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- salad oil - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- ground beef - 2 lb
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- cans tomato sauce - 3 oz
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- marjoram - 1/4 tsp
- Burgundy wine - 1 c
- rosemary - 1/4 tsp
- dash of garlic salt - 1 item
- or 1/4 lb - 1 c
- spaghetti, broken in 2-inch lengths - 1/2 lb
How to make baked spaghetti:
Saute onion and beef in salad oil until brown. Add tomato sauce and mix. Add spices from wine through pepper. Simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Cook and drain spaghetti. Add to sauce with 1/2 cheese. Place in a 3-quart casserole dish and store in the refrigerator. When ready for use, set oven at 375°. Put remaining cheese over dish and bake, covered, for 45 minutes. Reduce heat to 300° and bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Spaghetti.
