Ingredients/Components
- dry onion soup - 1 pkg
- dressed quail - 4 item
How to make baked quail:
You will need four 8 x 8-inch squares of heavy foil.Place the dressed bird on an 8 x 8-inch square of heavy foil; sprinkle 1/4 package onion soup on the bird. Roll the foil over bird; crimp the edges to insure tightness and retain juices. Place 4 wrapped birds in a shallow pan. Bake at 400° for 45 to 60 minutes. Serve with steamed rice. Serves 4.
Note: This is also a splendid way to cook doves and pheasant. The rice and gravy are as delicious as the meat.
