Baked potato soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- chicken bouillon cube - 1 item
- medium potatoes, baked, peeled and cubed - 5 item
- salt, pepper and sweet basil - 1 item
- bacon, Cheddar cheese and chopped green onion - 1 item
How to make baked potato soup:
Saute 1 small onion in butter or margarine until tender. Add flour and stir until smooth. Add one cup of water with bouillon cube and milk. Stir constantly, until thickened. Add potatoes. Cook and stir until potatoes are well mixed in white sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. Add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon basil to taste. Serve hot with bacon, Cheddar cheese and chopped green onion.
