Baked pork chops
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- salad oil - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- elbow macaroni - 2 c
- sliced onion - 1 c
- can tomatoes - 1 lb
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- bay leaf, crumbled - 1 item
- dried thyme leaves - 1/2 tsp
- thin pork chops - 4 item
How to make baked pork chops:
Wipe chops with damp paper towels; trim excess fat. Place on rack in broiler pan. Broil on both sides until nicely browned. In hot oil in large skillet, saute onion and garlic, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, thyme, bay leaf, 3/4 teaspoon salt and pepper; mix. Boil 3 quarts water with 1 teaspoon salt. Add macaroni; cook for 10 minutes, or until tender; drain. Preheat oven to 350°. Add macaroni to tomato mixture; mix. Arrange chops on top.
