Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- water - 4 c
- molasses - 1/2 c
- dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- sliced bacon - 1/2 lb
- large lima beans dry - 2 c
How to make baked lima beans:
Soak beans in water overnight. Next day, bring to boil in same water. Cut bacon into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Add all ingredients to beans and pour into ceramic pan or bean pot. Bake at 300° for 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally.Recipe categories: Side dish, Beans, Amish/mennonite.
