Baked lima beans
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- catsup - 2 Tbsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- small can tomatoes - 1 item
- dry lima beans - 1 lb
- or 10 bacon strips - 8 item
How to make baked lima beans:
Soak beans overnight. Put to boil in fresh salted water until tender. Drain. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper, catsup, sugar and vinegar. Put in a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex baking dish. Cover with strips. Bake 1 hour at 325°.Recipe categories: Side dish, Beans, Amish/mennonite.
