Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 lb
  • olive oil - 3 Tbsp
  • chopped beef - 1 lb
  • onion, chopped - 1/2 c
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • minced parsley - 2 tsp
  • cans tomato paste - 2 oz
  • water
  • salt
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Ricotta cheese - 1 lb
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 3/4 c
  • Worcestershire sauce

How to make baked lasagne:

Boil Mueller's Italian style lasagne in 4 quarts of rapidly boiling water (add 1 tablespoon salt to water) for 12 minutes. Stir gently. Drain. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to prevent sticking. Let cool.

Saut beef and onion in 2 tablespoons olive oil. Add tomato paste, spices, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and water. Simmer for 25 minutes.

In a large, shallow and well-greased baking dish, spread several spoonfuls of sauce then alternate layers of lasagne, sauce, Ricotta and Parmesan cheeses, ending with sauce and Parmesan cheese. Bake 20 minutes in a 350° oven. Cut in squares. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
