Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/3 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- corn syrup - 2/3 c
- can evaporated milk - 1 oz
- almond flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- maple flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- slices thick sliced bread - 6 item
- cornflakes, rolled fine - 1 c
- Dip sliced bread into egg mixture, then in cornflake crumbs
How to make baked french toast:
Beat together the eggs, milk, salt and vanilla. Dip sliced bread into egg mixture, then in cornflake crumbs. Place in pan; drizzle with melted butter. Bake in a 350° oven until light brown. Serve hot with butter and syrup.Syrup:1 1/3 c. sugar1/3 c. water2/3 c. corn syrup1 tsp. cinnamon1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk1/2 tsp. almond flavoring1/2 tsp. maple flavoring1 Tbsp. butter Combine the first 4 ingredients; boil for about 2 minutes.
