Baked french toast
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 1 doz
- half and half - 1 pt
- packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- chopped nuts optional - 1/2 c
- loaf white bread, broken up into small pieces - 1 item
How to make baked french toast:
Break bread into small pieces and put into a greased baking dish. Mix eggs and half and half; pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight or several hours before baking.Before baking, mix brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle over bread mixture. Dot with margarine. Bake at 350° until set.
You can serve with powdered sugar and/or maple syrup.
