Baked chocolate pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- melted Crisco - 2 Tbsp
How to make baked chocolate pudding:
Sift all dry ingredients together. Combine Crisco, vanilla and milk. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add nuts and mix. Pour into greased baking dish (5 x 9-inch or 8-inch square). Cover with this mixture. Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar and 4 tablespoons cocoa. Sprinkle over batter in dish. Pour 1 cup water over all. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until done. If you use a glass dish, bake at 325°. Tastes best while warm and you can add ice cream if desired.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, < 4 hours.
