Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • water - 1 c
  • ginger - 1/4 tsp
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • tomato juice - 1/2 c
  • white pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chicken, cut up - 4 lb
  • sherry - 1/2 c
  • small onions, sliced - 2 item

How to make baked chicken in wine sauce:

Cook chicken and drain. Brown chicken in butter and put in baking dish. To the drippings in skillet add onions and saute until tender. Add all other ingredients and cook 1 minute. Pour mixture over chicken and bake at 400° for 1/2 hour. Baste every 15 minutes.
