Ingredients/Components
- flour
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- onion, sliced - 1 item
- cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- chicken, cut up - 1 item
- cream of celery soup - 1 item
- poppy seed optional - 1 item
- poultry seasoning optional - 3/4 tsp
- egg in measuring cup filled to top with milk - 1 item
How to make baked chicken and dumplings:
Dumplings:2 c. flour4 tsp. baking powder3/4 tsp. poultry seasoning (optional) poppy seed (optional)1 egg in measuring cup filled to top with milk Place chicken and onions in large covered casserole dish. Season with salt and pepper. Spread soups over chicken. Add 1 can of water. Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350°. Add 1 can of water; drop in dumplings 1/2 to 3/4 hour before serving.Note: Dip spoon in broth to prevent dumpling from sticking.
