  • milk
  • flour - 4 Tbsp
  • butter
  • chopped onion - 1 item
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • head cabbage - 1 item
  • chopped celery optional - 1 item
  • chopped red bell pepper - 1 c

How to make baked cajun cabbage:

Cheese Sauce:1/2 c. butter4 Tbsp. flour1 1/2 c. milk salt and pepper to taste1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese Remove outer leaves from cabbage. Cut in quarters and cook 10 minutes. Cut in bite size pieces into a 2-quart casserole. Set aside.

In a separate saucepan, combine butter and flour, blending well. Add salt, pepper and milk, blending until creamy. Add cheese and stir until smooth. Pour sauce over cabbage. Sprinkle with crumbs. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
