  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • butter or margarine - 2 sq
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • large can water - 1 item
  • Add eggs and beat
  • sugar 2/3 c - 1 c
  • grated raw apples - 4 c
  • vanilla plus 1/2 tsp - 2 tsp

How to make baked apple pudding:

Cream butter or margarine and sugar together. Add eggs and beat. Sift the next 7 ingredients and add. Add apples and nuts. Bake 45 minutes at 350° in dripper. Serve hot with Pudding Sauce.Pudding Sauce:1 large can evaporated milk1 large can water1 c. sugar (2/3 c. is enough)3 Tbsp. flour1/4 tsp. salt2 tsp. vanilla (plus 1/2 tsp. lemon extract; optional)2 Tbsp. butter Heat water and milk. Mix flour, sugar and salt together and add dry to milk mixture. Stir constantly until slightly thick. Take off stove and add butter and vanilla. Pour over pudding and serve.
