Ingredients/Components
- dark brown sugar - 1 item
- soy sauce - 1 item
- bacon - 1 lb
- cans whole water chestnuts - 2 oz
How to make bacon wrapped water chestnuts:
You will need sandwich picks (wood).Marinate drained water chestnuts in soy sauce for 1 hour or longer. Roll water chestnuts in dark brown sugar. Cut bacon into 3 pieces. Wrap a piece of bacon around each chestnut and secure on top with a sandwich pick. Put on broiler pan so grease can drain off. Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes or longer until bacon is done. Can be frozen for later use, if desired. Bake frozen 10 minutes at 300°. Makes approximately 50 to 55.
