  • eggs - 6 item
  • milk - 1 qt
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • dry mustard - 2 tsp
  • sharp Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 lb
  • slices buttered white bread, cubed - 10 item
  • bacon, fried crisp and crumbled* - 1/2 lb

How to make bacon casserole:

Put bread into lightly greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Toss and cover in cheese. Mix milk, eggs, mustard and salt, then pour over cheese. Top with bacon and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350° until brown. Serves 8.

*Can substitute sausage instead of bacon.
