Ingredients/Components
- can crushed pineapple undrained, in its own juice, not heavy syrup - 1 oz
- sugar - 2/3 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- diced unpeeled apples - 1 c
- chopped nuts - 1/2 1
- whipped topping - 1 c
How to make autumn apple salad:
In a saucepan, combine pineapple and sugar. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. Add gelatin and stir until dissolved. Add cream cheese; stir until mixture is thoroughly combined. Cool. Fold in apples, nuts and whipped topping. Pour into a 9-inch square pan. Chill until firm. Cut into squares and serve on lettuce leaves.
