- pepper - 1 item
- oregano - 1 item
- basil - 1 item
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- cloves garlic - 4 item
- parsley - 1 item
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- canned tomatoes - 2 qt
- burger optional - 1 lb
- Seasonings: bay leaf
How to make authentic italian sauce:
Seasonings: bay leaf parsley basil pepper oregano salt Mash and chop garlic. In a 4 or 5-quart pot, brown the garlic in olive oil at medium setting. Add burger and brown with cloves. In separate deep pan, beat to puree the 2 quarts of tomatoes. Add pureed tomatoes to garlic and burger. Add tomato paste to sauce and stir out lumps. Add 1 (12 ounce) can of water.Crumble bay leaf in. Cover top of sauce with parsley flakes. Cover top of sauce with basil. Cover a little more lightly with each of pepper, oregano and salt. Once sauce begins to boil, reduce heat from medium to low. Cover and stir occasionally.
